Move to Shopify
Without Losing SEO
A Shopify migration agency for DTC brands that cannot afford a traffic dip. We move the data, rebuild the store and redirect every old URL, then check the lot before and after launch.
The short answer
Our Shopify migration service moves your products, customers, orders, blog posts, pages and images from your current platform into Shopify, redirects every old URL to its new address, and carries over the SEO titles and descriptions that already rank. Your old store keeps trading until the switch, so customers and Google see one clean handover.
Which platform are you moving from?
Each source platform has its own export quirks and URL patterns. These pages cover the specifics.
WooCommerce to Shopify
Our most practised route: four stores moved, including a bilingual store and a set of country stores. Yoast meta, WPML translations and every WordPress URL handled.
WooCommerce migration →Wix to Shopify
For brands that have outgrown Wix Stores. Product options, the blog, SEO fields and Wix's URL patterns each need their own plan, and the page explains how we handle them.
Wix migration →On Magento, BigCommerce or Squarespace? We scope those case by case. Tell us about the store using the form below.
What gets migrated to Shopify?
Everything a customer or search engine would miss. The exact list is agreed before we start.
Products and variants
Titles, descriptions, prices, SKUs, stock and options, mapped to Shopify's variant model.
Customers
Contact details, addresses and marketing consent, linked to their orders.
Order history
Past orders with line items, totals and dates, so reporting keeps its baseline.
Blog posts and pages
Content rebuilt as Shopify articles and pages, with images and publish dates.
URL redirects
A 301 for every indexable old URL, built from a full inventory, not a pattern guess.
SEO metadata
Existing titles and descriptions written into Shopify for every page type.
Images
Product, variant and content images re-uploaded to Shopify with alt text.
Languages and markets
Translations and country stores, each with its own redirects and meta.
How does a Shopify migration work?
The same six stages for every platform. Only the export step changes.
Audit and URL inventory
Crawl of the live site, top pages from Search Console, every indexable URL, plugin, app and custom field listed.
Data mapping
Every source field given a Shopify home: options, metafields, collections, languages.
Store build
Theme set up or built in clean Liquid, payments, shipping and taxes configured, features replaced.
Test import, then full import
A sample you review first, then the full data set, checked against source counts.
Redirects and SEO
Redirect map built from the inventory, SEO fields written for products, collections, pages and articles.
Cutover and checks
Delta import of anything new, domain switch, every redirect tested, Search Console watched for 404s.
What usually goes wrong in a Shopify migration?
The mistakes that cost traffic are rarely the obvious ones. These are the ones we check for on every job.
Redirects Shopify silently ignores
Shopify's built-in routes like /products and /collections take priority over URL redirects, so a redirect on those paths never fires. We map those URLs to real handles instead.
SEO fields dropped on import
Page and article SEO in Shopify lives in metafields, not a native field. We write titles and descriptions there directly so nothing falls back to defaults.
Language versions that break
Shopify Markets subfolders can stop old /en/ redirects from firing, and translations matched by name end up on the wrong product. We test each language separately.
Redirect checks you cannot trust
Cloudflare bot protection in front of Shopify blocks fast parallel checks and reports false failures. We verify redirects one by one and keep the log.
Have we done this before?
Yes. We have moved four live stores from WooCommerce to Shopify. Each move covered products, orders, customers and SEO: redirects for the old URLs and the meta titles and descriptions that were already ranking.
Space of Space
Czech design brand with a bilingual Czech and English store. We paired every product with its translation, carried the Yoast SEO titles and descriptions into Shopify, and redirected every indexable URL from the old site.
Fragrance Perfume
A perfume retailer running several separate country stores. Each country store was migrated on its own, with its own catalogue, customers, orders and redirects.
4Boxerz
Full WooCommerce to Shopify move: products and variants, customer records, order history and the SEO layer.
4Kickerz
Full WooCommerce to Shopify move: products and variants, customer records, order history and the SEO layer.
What does it cost, and what happens after launch?
Every migration is scoped on a call after we review your store. You get a fixed price and timeline in writing before any work starts. The size of the catalogue, the number of languages or country stores and how much custom functionality you rely on drive the price.
A migration is also the best moment to fix what was holding the old store back. Once you are live and stable, our Shopify CRO service tests and improves the new store, and our Shopify development team handles anything custom.
